It had been quite some time since I’d seen my good friend and owner of Hospitality21 Amber Gioia. But now that she’s no longer in NYC and has made her way to the South, it was finally time to give her and the family a visit.
Arriving right on time for my road trip, was the new 2018 Mitsubishi Mirage G4. I’ve had a chance to check out a few of Mitsubishi’s vehicles and was ready to see what the 2018 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 was all about. Let’s take a peek inside.
The interior is pretty standard with cloth seating and it was fairly roomy. To my surprise, although the seats were cloth, they were also heated! This was my first time experiencing heated seats that weren’t leather, but I was extremely happy. I believe the temperature that day was below 40 degrees smh. At this point, I believe heated seats should be an option without having to upgrade to a leather package. Mitsubishi did a great job with adding that feature.
Another highlight and my favorite feature in the car was the Google and Apple Carplay. With Apple Carplay I was able to access Apple Music as well as other music streaming apps, Maps, I could make phone calls and send messages through the touchscreen or with Siri. Once your phone is connected to CarPlay via USB your phone’s screen is projected on the touchscreen panel in the car. It was pretty cool to not have to pick up my phone at all and just focus on the road.
The Drive – My drive to Columbia, SC was about 3.5 hours from Atlanta and the ride was smooth. It was also fairly quiet on the inside, so I didn’t hear much outside noise.
Fuel Efficiency – The drive from Atlanta to Columbia was about 214 miles one way and I left Atlanta on a full tank. I was able to get there and drive around a bit before filling up. Once I did fill up it only cost me a whopping $12 dollars lol. I might have had a little less than a quarter tank at this point. To say this car is excellent on gas would be an understatement!
The 2018 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 gets 35/41 mpg and has a 10 year/100,000 mile Powertrain Warranty.
My overall thoughts on the 2018 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 is that if you are looking for an economical car that will give you great gas mileage with a little extra space, this is the way to go. It is ideal for a college student, teenager or even an adult if fuel efficiency and low maintenance is a priority. And the $14,395 price tag makes it one of the more affordable vehicles on the market.
Until next time…Happy Traveling!! xoxo
