“We Travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us.”
For me, traveling is one of the best ways to revitalize your mind, body and spirit. In 2015, I visited the quiet Jekyll Island nestled on the Georgia coast and it was such a peaceful time, that I knew I had to get back to the island soon. I stayed at the Jekyll Island Club Resort, but on this trip, I was able to experience the newly opened Jekyll Ocean Club Resort.
Opening over the Summer, Jekyll Ocean Club is a luxurious boutique oceanfront, all-suite resort that has everything your heart desires. Fantastic amenities, delicious cuisine at Corsair and phenomenal views of the Atlantic Ocean. There are only 40 suites on the property with each one of them giving you views of the ocean from the over-sized balconies.
The subtle touches of art work and hand-crafted furnishings pulls together the beach theme perfectly.
The large suites at Jekyll Ocean Club provides an enormous amount of space that is perfect for families and couples alike. The bedroom featured a comfortable king sized bed with a sitting area, plenty of closet space and plush robes that I absolutely loved.
The bathroom is nestled in the middle of the suite separating the bedroom from the living room and has a full vanity, walk-in shower and luxurious bathroom amenities from Gilchrist and Soames London.
As you make your way into the living area, it features a dining table, wet bar and large sliding doors leading to the balcony that can be opened completely so that the ocean air can flow throughout the suite. The views from my balcony were just incredible! I spent most of my time here sipping champagne and listening to music.
Just a casual night with perfect weather and a glass of rosé by the fire pit. I am in love with the new @jekylloceanclub !! 😍 It’s been a few years since my last visit to Jekyll Island so it’s great to be back 😁 #staycation #happilyeating #willtravelforfood #jekyllisland #jekylloceanclub #exploregeorgia
Although Jekyll Island is a little more quiet than its neighbor St. Simons, there are still plenty of activities at Jekyll Ocean Club to keep you busy. The heated pool was the main attraction as the weather was in the upper 70’s. The Jacuzzi was the main attraction at night as well as the fire pit. I spent the evenings sitting around the firepit mingling with other guests over a glass of wine.
The resort has direct beach access where I was able to watch a wedding take place! It was pretty awesome to watch. The couple looked so happy and the beach was the perfect backdrop. I’m now tossing around the idea of hosting my parents 20 year vow renewal at the resort.
The biking and walking path which separates the beach from the resort, was also popular for those looking for a more physical activity to do.
Corsair is Jekyll Ocean Club’s on site restaurant and is sheer perfection. The restaurant needed its own post because the food is exquisite. That will be coming up shortly.
I was alone on this trip because I really wanted some time away because you know…sometimes you just need a break from it all lol. The month of October had been nonstop for me between the birthday celebrations and traveling. My time at Jekyll Ocean Club was just what the doctor ordered.
While mingling with guests throughout my stay, the general consensus between us all was that Jekyll Ocean Club is incredible.

Thank you to Amy, Donna, Helen, Cathy, Dalton and Chris for making my time at Jekyll Ocean Club perfect 🙂
