I can feel that the Fall weather is just around the corner. That means, cooler weather and more opportunities to sit outside and enjoy a nice cocktail. Atlanta is one of those cities where the options for a great drink are endless. I’ve been to some of the best places around town, so I took some time to round-up a few that specialize in craft cocktails, great ambiance and of course some excellent food! Check out these 5 Atlanta Restaurants To Enjoy Cocktails.
5Church – Midtown
If you were familiar with Shout Restaurant at Colony Square in Midtown, then you should have heard about 5Church which took over the space a couple of years ago. The bartenders at 5Church are well versed in cocktail making and when you pair that with Executive Chef Scotley Innis’s new menu, you have a winner! One of the highlights of the restaurant is the large patio upstairs that gives you perfect views of Peachtree St.
- Cocktails – Holy Water (Four Roses Bourbon, sweet tea, lemon juice, blackberries, mint and blue agave)
- Bites – Charred octopus, beet salad, truffle mushroom risotto and the Atlantic diver scallops.
Perfect for – Happy hour, catch up with friends, dinner, birthday celebration
Current Promotions – The “Rush Hour Remedy” happy hour features $6 small bites $5 beer, $5-$8 wine Monday-Friday from 4:30p-6:30p.
1197 Peachtree St NE #528, Atlanta, GA 30361
GRAIN – Midtown
Next on the list of 5 Atlanta Restaurants To Enjoy Cocktails is GRAIN Bar. It is located in Midtown on West Peachtree St. in between 6th and 7th street and quickly became one of my go-to bars. It’s intimate, there is a cute patio space that overlooks West Peachtree St. and the small menu is complete with a variety of small plates and shareable items. The craft cocktails are something special with unique names and you can always expect to see the highly skilled bartenders do a trick or two!
- Cocktails – Midtown Mule (cold brew stolichnaya vodka, fresh rosemary, oregano, lime, ginger and 18:21 ginger beer) and the Debutante (vodka, peach syrup, lemon juice, bubbles)
- Bites – Pancho’s Chips, The Gold Digger and Sir Lancelot’s “Castle”
Perfect for – First date, casual celebration, catch up with friends, happy hour

STK – Midtown
Another Midtown favorite is STK . The vibe is urban and sexy, the cocktails are strong and the music playlist is always perfect. I’ve been to STK for events, dinner or to just have cocktails before hitting the town. It is a great place to be seen and there is always a chance that you may run into a celebrity or two.
- Cocktails – Cucumber Stiletto made with Ketel One and the Not Your Daddy’s Manhattan made with Bulleit Bourbon.
- Bites – Pull apart bread with chive oil. I don’t eat a lot of bread, but I NEVER pass up an opportunity to eat this one!!

Enjoy cocktails at the bar inside or sit outside on the patio. In the cooler months, the two outdoor fireplaces are where you want to be.
- Cocktails – Pimm’s Cup (Pimm’s No. 1, Blackberries, Lemon, Cynar, Orchids)
